The Sydney Mardi Gras Parade 2017 will take place on Saturday the 4th March, from 7pm – 11.30pm - at Oxford Street and Flinders Street, Darlinghurst NSW. It’s not just horse races that stop the nation, the annual Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade is a captivating event that peaks interest, curiosity and support around the world.
In 2017, grab all things colourful, rainbow, fun and eccentric and head in to the heart of Sydney for the 39th Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras! Extreme fancy dress costumes, elaborate dress up styles and convoys of thousands will bring Sydney’s city streets to a halt in a dazzling flourish of support for equality - plus glitter, sparkles, feathers, sequins and more, exuding self-expression and freedom.
The Sydney Mardi Gras is a festive celebration of love that knows no bounds – acknowledging the challenging journeys we face but also the challenges that have been overcome; individually and collectively, as this community makes their voices and their hearts heard.
Bring bright colours into your fancy dress costumes, rainbows, even fluorescent and neon to show your support and make your Mardi Gras costumes stand out.
