Zombie Walk Dates 2016 - for Australian Capital Cities

For the love of all things rotten – join the hordes and don’t you dare miss out on your local city Zombie Walk 2016 or Zombie Shuffle! National Zombie Walks are amazing fundraising events held throughout Australia each year, (technically also International, but we’ll just stick to the Aussie info for now!)

....So check out the details below relevant to the capital city with which you will grace your zombie presence! Then grab your adults and kids zombie costumes plus all the gore, entrails, dismembered limbs and body parts, blood, makeup, wounds and disgusting special effects you need to immerse yourself in your city’s impending Apocalypse!

Australia’s Zombie Walks are family friendly and many local events will get you in the grisly, revolting mood necessary with hair-raising before and after parties. You’ll often find live bands and DJ’s pumping to get you into that one-track brain starved zone, plus best-dressed competitions and of course official Zombie Walk 2016 merchandise to give you bragging rights!

Zombie Walk 2016 events in Australia are held with the on-going support of local city councils and raise much needed money and awareness for a number of national and international charities.

Adelaide Zombie Walk 2016

In 2016 the Adelaide Zombie Walk will be held on Saturday October 15th and take note!! There’s been a change of venue!! This year the Adelaide Zombie Walk will take off from Elder Park and lurch around a different route than previous years! The walk begins in Elder Park at 3pm and supports the Food Bank charity, an organisation providing food relief and fighting hunger in Australia. Grab your Adelaide Zombie Walk wrist bands for $10 – 100% of proceeds go to the charity and the wrist band gives you automatic entry into the best dressed competition, the blood splatter tent, plus a bunch of other specials and discounts! If you’d prefer not to purchase a wrist band, just bring along a small monetary donation or a non-perishable food item for charity. The Adelaide Zombie Walk event will boast market stalls, food vans, a free kids zone and more! 

Sydney Zombie Walk 2016

In 2016 the annual Sydney Zombie Walk will be held on Saturday October 29th! Hordes of zombies are welcome to start gathering at Belmore Park (next to Central Station) from 12pm and get ready to start dragging your rotten limbs at 4pm! But.... if you're one of the bloated corpses taking part... make sure you're there by 3pm or you'll miss out! The Sydney Zombie walk proudly supports The Brain Foundation of Australia – providing world class research into neurological disorders, brain disease and brain injuries. Tickets to the Sydney Zombie Walk are free, and all participants over the age of 16 must have a registered ticket to take part! 

Perth Zombie Walk 2016

In 2016 the Perth Zombie Walk will be held on Saturday October 29th. All our vile, undead Perth-eans will commence their lurching from Northbridge Piazza (corner of Lake and James Streets) between 10am – 2pm. The Perth Zombie Walk proudly supports and raises money for The Brain Foundation. Through the Perth Zombie Walk website you can register for the walk, sponsor a friend/zombie or make a donation to their chosen research charity. In 2016, the Perth Zombie Walk has joined forces with Carnivale Macabre so there’ll be even more gruesome excitement! Be prepared for special effects tents, movies, face painting, market stalls, roaming entertainers, music and more! 

Canberra Zombie Walk 2016

In 2016 the dead will rise for the annual Canberra Zombie Walk on Saturday 29th October. Hordes of zombies are asked to gather at Regatta Point from 3pm to admire the gore of fellow shufflers, and prepare to start staggering through the streets at 3:30pm! The Canberra Zombie Walk proudly support The Brain Foundation, and although the walk is a free event for all participants, please still bring a monetary donation to support the cause. Brisbane Zombie Walk 2016

In 2016 the Brisbane Zombie Walk will be held on Sunday 23rd October and guess what? They’re looking for a record breaking event, help Brissy retain their #1 spot as the biggest and most successful Zombie Walk in the World!!! The Brisbane Zombie Walk 2016: Nation-Z require you to sway on over to Roma St Parkland from 10am for the event and give generously to The Brain Foundation of Australia. Groaning and limb dragging will commence at 3pm! The Brisbane Zombie Walk will boast a bunch of festivities for the family including music, special effects makeup, market stalls, movies and licensed areas for zombies aged 18+! Once the lurching has looped back to the start, zombies are invited to continue with morbid moves and tunes until 7pm! Tickets to the 2016 Brisbane Zombie Walk start from $15, with other super cool zombie merchandise to purchase too! Grab yourself the Ultimate Brisbane Zombie Walk VIP Showbag for your entry ticket plus a bunch of other killer stuff! You can choose to fundraise, sponsor or even Volunteer at the event, for added perks! 

Melbourne Zombie Shuffle 2016

It makes sense that Melbourne-ians aren’t walking….. they’re shuffling! In 2016 the Melbourne Zombie Shuffle will be hitting the streets on Saturday 22nd October. Celebrate their 11th annual walk by staggering over to Treasury Gardens at 12 noon for a shuffle start time of 1pm, which will end at the Alexandra Gardens Skate Park, where the best dressed competition will be held! These peeps are keeping some little secrets…
