Black and Green Aztec Feather Headpiece

Only the most elite members of Aztec society wore a headdress. They were very serious about the process of making and wearing a headpiece that only priests, emperors and highly decorated warriors got to wear them. The feathers used were a symbol of their feather God who was close to their sun God; they had a God for everything! A headdress was a visual representation of an Aztec citizen's status - what would your status be? This green and black headpiece is as nice as what you would expect to see in Ancient times, green feathers were specifically worn by nobility making this costume headband an excellent choice to complete your look. It's a good thing the Aztecs don't know that anyone can wear them these days, they would probably sacrifice us to one of their Gods if they found out.

The headpiece has a large orange gem.
This headpiece has black feathers with a teal green shift.
For a comfortable fit the headpiece has a thick black elastic band to secure it to your head.
The front of the headpiece measures to 32cms.
