What is Book Week?

It's an annual celebration of reading and children’s literature throughout schools in Australia. It’s an exciting time of year where students and teachers come together by dressing up as beloved characters from books.

It was created by the Children’s Book Council of Australia and is celebrating 80 years in 2025. With this years incredible theme ‘Book an Adventure,’ we are sure that this year will be one to remember!
